UV-Visible spectrophotometer is suitable for applications in the wavelength range 190 to 1100 nm.

Selection of cells / Cuvettes for sample testing, plays major role in accuracy.

UV region wavelength range is from 190 – 360 nm. Quartz cells / cuvettes must be used for this region.

Visible region wavelength range is from 340 – 1100 nm. Quartz cells / cuvettes can used for better results. Although from 400 – 800 nm Glass or Plastic cuvettes may be used.

View colors in the Sample Compartment

UV-Visible spectrophotometer is suitable for applications in the wavelength range 190 to 1100 nm.

Place a white card in the Sample compartment focusing to light direction path. Set scan mode from 300 to 800 nm and start scaning, you can see colours in the white card.
Analyze in a Dark room.

Deuterium Lamps

Before switch ON UV Spectrophotometer, Prepare all the samples that you are going to analyze, frequent Switch ON/OFF D2 Lamp (firing of D2 Lamp) in-between 15 minutes should be avoided, as it would reduce the life of the lamp.

Therefore, if your sample comes for testing, once in fifteen minutes, keep D2 Lamp in ON condition. This would extend its life.
